Direct Primary Care or “DPC” is a model of health care delivery in which enrolled members pay a set monthly fee for quick and convenient access to a broad scope of direct primary care services. These services are provided by a personal physician, who creates health plans specifically for you.
In contrast to the “fee-for-service” payment system common to most health insurance plans, DPC does not discourage patient access to care they need by charging copays and deductibles each time they access care. When getting care at a SolidaritUS Health Center, for example, or online through a telemedicine visit with your personal SolidaritUS Health physicians, you will never need to reach into your pocket for a credit card or cash.
SolidaritUS Health doctors are personally responsible for providing a broad scope of direct primary care services to as few as ¼ the number of patients seen by a typical primary care doctor in the standard fee-for-service insurance system. That means SolidaritUS Health direct primary care doctors have the time to get to know their patients, provide high-quality care that meets their needs, understand their individual health goals, and coach their patients to achieving them.
You don’t need insurance to become a member of SolidaritUS Health. We provide services for an affordable monthly fee. There are no co-pays or deductibles, and you have access to the full list of SolidaritUS Health services listed above, including a host of labs and commonly prescribed medications at no out-of-pocket cost to you.
SolidaritUS Health is not an insurance product. We will coordinate your care with the hospital or specialist of your choice, if you need it, but your SolidaritUS membership does not cover the cost of hospitalization or specialist care.
Yes, you can still sign up. SolidaritUS Health members get unparalleled access to the full range of SolidaritUS Health services. This includes 24/7 access to a personal SolidaritUS doctor, whether or not you have insurance. If you have insurance coverage, already, SolidaritUS saves you from having to pay any co-pays and deductibles, for the full range of direct primary care services we provide. Our members with high copays or high-deductible insurance plans enjoy substantial savings, while getting fast access to truly personalized, high-quality, direct primary care.
Health Goals: SolidaritUS physicians are partners in helping each of their patients achieve personal health goals, even if they are completely healthy. Do you want to condition for a new sport? Do you want to become a marathon runner, or jog in a 5-K fun run? Are you training for an elite sport, or do you just want to lose a few pounds? Skilled SolidaritUS physicians are partners and coaches to their patients in achieving their individual health goals.
Urgent Care: Everybody is susceptible to getting sick or injured at unexpected times. Just one or two visits to an urgent care center or an emergency room can cost far more than annual fees for unlimited access to a personal SolidaritUS physician and the full scope of SolidaritUS Health direct primary care services.
Prevention: Regular, preventive health care, while you are healthy, is extremely important for continued good health over the course of a person’s life. Most Americans become afflicted with at least one chronic condition as they grow older — conditions which would have been completely avoidable with the help of individualized care from a personal primary care doctor.
